After a bit of chatting online and a zoom call, I was honoured when Fuchsia and Garry choose me to photograph their wedding at Fuchsia's beautiful family home in Cambridgeshire.
As always, I arrived a little early to get some snaps of the preparations and was welcomed in by the family busy getting everything ready, I am always very aware not to be a nuisance and get in the way. So I kept myself busy snapping all the stunning details that had gone into the day and the venue itself. Wow what a view across the fields!
The ceremony itself was held in a beautiful orchard and is quite possibly one of my personal favourite ceremony spaces I have shot! I loved the natural aisle and feel that contrasted so well with the guests, who all looked amazing.
Just a quick note to say thank you - you made the whole thing very easy, and natural. You're a comfortable and calming presence to have around (even when we were running hideously late!). I have had several people mention how they wished they had a photographer who blended in so easily at their wedding!

Wouldn't it be awesome if these were wearable?
The ceremony space was not only beautiful, it also leant itself perfectly to an extra long confetti tunnel and wow did the guests go to town; Fuchsia and Gary were covered! The afternoon continued with a relaxed reception on the lawn in front of the family home with the marquee beyond and the hills in the distance. It was a stunning spot, almost designed to host a wedding or large party.
Towards the end of the reception just before and as guest were being ushered into the marquee for supper, I whisked Gary and Fuchsia off for some couple shots. There is no better time for this than as the sun is setting (all photographers and wedding photographers especially get very excited by the' golden hour', it really does produce the best images!). I love taking couples just out of sight from the main party as I feel it helps couples relax and enjoy the time, and its nice to take a quick breather!
As the evening went on a feast was served, with more laugher and raucousness than a photographer could hope for; there was a shot everywhere I turned! A party to match all party followed and I'm pretty sure went on long into the early hours.
All that's left to say is thank you so much to Fuchsia and Gary for allowing me to photograph their day, It was an honour and I had an amazing time!
